This waterfall is about 60km west of Hua Hin, towards the mountain ridge that forms a natural border with Burma. The multi-tiered waterfall is spectacular, especially in the rainy season. It is set in unspoilt rainforest that's teeming with birds, butterflies and all kinds of other wildlife. The third level offers a refreshing swimming hole after the short jungle trek.
One of the most beautiful waterfalls, not only in Hua Hin District, but also in Prachuab Khirikhan Province, Pala-U is located in Kaeng Krachan National Park. Only sixty-three kilometers from the city, you will enjoy the journey as much as the destination. A comfortable journey through the Thai countryside is always an experience.
The Tourist Service Centre of Pala-U Waterfall recorded that the number of visitors of Pala-U in each year is close to 100,000 people. Although the 400 baht entrance fee for foreigners is rather high, the charm and beauty of this area makes it worth the cost.
Remember your swimming costumes and towels if you wish to swim in the cool waters at level 3.
