This golf course sits right on the beach 40 miles north of Phuket and was hit hard by the tsunami but it was renovated rapidly and the Pete Dye design is famous for it's finishing three holes that play into what is common on a sea-side course, stiff winds. Sometimes two clubs is definitely not enough to overcome the late afternoon "breezes" that challenge the par 5, par 3, par 4 finish. It is all you would expect of a true beach-side course with large waste areas, deep bunkers, stiff winds in the afternoon, some lagoons and gentle rolling terrain.

Those three finishing holes don't allow you to drift left or it's fish food in the ocean and the right side is bounded by out-of-bounds so bring a wee bit of your Scottish game when you set your tee time. With tees that measure from just under 5000 to just over 7000 yards there is enough game here for all caliber of players.
