Golf Courses in Pattaya

Crystal Bay Golf Club

Crystal Bay Golf Club

Crystal Bay Golf Club is the former Natural Park Resort Golf Club. The course offers 27 holes of golf that can be played in different configurations to allow you to enjoy at least a couple of rounds, maybe in the same day, and not play the same 18 holes.

This Thai Takanaka designed course was built five years before the Hill Course in 1988 and is one of the more player friendly courses you will find as it averages out to be only about 6500 yards and is relatively flat. It also has an island green and the newer addition of large mature palm trees has added what they feel is an Hawaiian feeling to this design.

Eastern Star Resort & Country Club

Eastern Star Resort & Country Club

Eastern Star was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr and opened in 1993. The course is relatively flat and is referred to as a links course but isn't overly bunkered for a Jones design as there are only 69 bunkers on the entire course with some greens having only one and some have none. It was constructed on an old coconut plantation and does have surrounding sandy terrain so stay within the fairways and rough. The course has a diverse layout of holes incorporating some severe doglegs and also some dead straight away holes. There is one par 5 that is barely 500 yards and one that almost reaches 600.

Khao Kheow Country Club

Khao Kheow Country Club

This is a Pete Dye course that was built in 1992 and he decided to introduce Thailand to Sawgrass with an island green 146 yard par 3 hole on hole #8 of the B course. The seaside winds affect many shots on this 27 hole layout and shots and clubs must be well thought out. Dye uses bunkers and water to protect all his greens and also the mounds that are ever present can send a ball off to a place that it wasn't intended. As is common with many Dye designs there are many different characteristics to his holes from rather short par 4's to the mammoth 592 yard par 5 on the A course.

Laem Chabang International Country Club

Laem Chabang International Country Club

This magnificent Jack Nicklaus designed championship course truly is one of Thailand?s finest. The 27 hole Mountain, Lake and Creek 9's show that Jack was able to take what nature gave him and improve upon it but not abuse it. The names of the 9's speak for themselves. There are hundred of different types of wildfowl on the course with verdant vegetation to match, each tee reflects a predominant type of display of flowers such as some of the many varieties of jasmine, orchids or lilies to name a few.

Mountain Shadow Golf Club

Mountain Shadow Golf Club

Mountain Shadow Golf Club (former Natural Park Hill Golf Course) is a Ronald Fream design. It is a very player friendly design that has a very open feel to it and has a nice aesthetic touch as with lovely terraced trees and flowers that cradle the back of the greens on most holes. The course has some island-type greens and uses water and doglegs to protect its relatively short 6800 yard layout.

This is a nice course to be able to play when you have been pounding away at some of the other more severe and monstrous other challenges that the Kingdom has to offer and it is kept in very good condition year-round.

Phoenix Golf & Country Club

Phoenix Golf & Country Club

You start a round of golf not at the first tee but at the clubhouse and this Denis Griffith design shouts of beauty before you reach the first tee as the magnificent landscaping explodes with vibrant colors and there are internal ponds pools and waterfalls. There are three sets of 9's the Mountain, Ocean and Lakes with the lakes the only 9 that really incorporates much water. None of the 9's are over 3500 yards (the Lakes and Ocean closer to 3300) and they give you excellent views of the gulf and the surrounding mountains.

Siam Country Club

Siam Country Club

This is an "older" course designed by I. Izumi in 1971. It is a very mature course that has been upgraded and is well known as it has hosted many international golf tournaments. It measures over 7000 yards and has some narrow fairways with many unique and also difficult holes. This has been a family run operation and the pride they have in its long history has been carried over in the care the next generation is giving the course to maintain is revered status.

This is first course and considered by some the best in the Pattaya area and the winds can make it a great challenge as you wind through and up and down its tricky layout.

Sriracha Golf Club

Sriracha Golf Club

Sriracha Golf Club was designed by Gary Player and was the site for the first Asian PGA Tour event. He took advantage of the beautiful hilly and rolling landscape of the area which allows distant views of the Gulf of Siam and the lovely countryside of Sri Racha. Though the gentle rolling terrain does not present huge elevation changes the design incorporates the natural flow and you will find yourself with either an up-hill or down-hill lie for your second shot on a hole that you thought was relatively flat.

The Noble Place Golf Course and Country Club

The Noble Place Golf Course and Country Club

Dennis Wolverdge and Peter Thomson designed 27 holes of British style golf with all the characteristics that go with that moniker. There are deep and difficult bunkers, undulating landscape, some tough rough and good shot-making required to work your way around this layout. This is a relatively inexpensive course for the accolades that it has received. Many people have wanted to go after the remaining 9 holes after they have finished their first 18 as they want to rise to the challenge that these great designers have presented them.
