Golf Lessons

Hua Hin Golf Tours continually strive to provide services that our customers request. Modern technology has enabled players to hit the ball further but the key to good golf is consistency. We are pleased to be able to offer lessons from our class A Scottish golf professional who will help you improve the scores of established golfers as well as teaching newcomers to the game.

Our resident professional, John McKenzie, grew up on one of the oldest golf courses in the world, Peterhead in Scotland. His experience includes working in Scotland, the USA and Germany and has now settled down with his family in Hua Hin. John speaks English and German and can help you improve all aspects of your game be it as a first time golfer or seasoned player looking to fine tune a specific area of your game.

With our easy going but logical approach, every student will come away with a better understanding of their golf game and the knowledge to improve their skills. Combined with a variety of practice drills designed to help validate your understanding of the golf swing, each student can develop the confidence to execute better golf shots. Hitting better golf shots achieves lower scores making the game more enjoyable and fun to play.

Individual or group lessons are available and our instructors will provide an extensive analysis of your technique and approach to the game. Through practice drills and understanding you will become more familiar with your golf swing producing consistent results on the course.

Every lesson will be designed to meet the requirements of each individual.

Lesson prices:

Individual lessons are charged at Baht 1,500 per hour. Shared lessons are charged at:
                        Baht 875 per person for two people sharing a lesson
                        Baht 675 per person for three people sharing a lesson.

Prices include transportation to and from the driving range or golf course, golf equipment and our qualified PGA professional.

Prices exclude appropriate green and caddie fees.

Prices are based on accommodation in central Hua Hin.  Supplementary transfer costs apply as follows:

Customized Private Lesson Program
Customized private lesson programs are for players looking for intense game improvement. This program is a perfect solution to lowering your handicap. After an initial assessment, the coach will formulate your Individual plan for ongoing development.  All aspects of the game are covered and lesson content is individually tailored to your needs and requirements.
 
On Course Lesson
Play and receive on-course tuition with your personal instructor. Receive invaluable instruction on ‘taking it to the course’ as well as course strategy, awkward lies, special shots, and pre-shot routine.

Prices exclude the appropriate green and caddy fees.

Supplementary transfer charges apply for those staying in accommodation outside central Hua Hin.

After your round we review your strengths and weaknesses and jointly formulate a plan for further improvements to your game.

Special lesson plans

An introduction to golf – a 90 minute full introduction covering all aspects of the game at Baht 2,500 for an individual lesson.

Beginners intro to the golf course – following a warm-up session, enjoy a 9 –hole playing lesson at Black Mountains par 3 course.  Your coach will provide playing instruction, course management, etiquette and general behavior.  Priced at Baht 3,500 excluding the green and caddie fees.

Group lessons are available on request.

Our golf professional will be happy to advise you on golf equipment. We have our own club fitting and repair service that is available in our Golf Centre in town.
